(119gr) The sardines are fished off the coast of Galicia, Spain between June and October. After being carefully selected, they are meticulously hand-filleted, battered in flour and fried in olive oil before being freshly packed with a delicious sauce made of tomatoes, onions and red peppers, seasoned with a secret blend of spices and a subtle touch of wine.
INGREDIENTS: Small sardines, olive oil, tomato, onion, red pepper, wine, flour, spices and salt.

"La Brujula is one of the most respected conserveras from Pontevedra, the conserva capital of the world. These sardines are firm and hold up their natural flavor in harmony with this tasty sauce."
Vicent Sendra,

"The sauce and batter of these “xoubas” are delicious. It is not necessary to mix them with anything else, they are a complete dish on their own, at most I would add a few drops of lemon and a little parsley."

Why Lata
We are a group of friends from Spain living in the United states that share a passion for canned food and miss it so much that decided to source the best products from Spain.

Sourced with Care
We work directly with small producers across Spain and Portugal - many of them family-run - who still use traditional methods to preserve seafood at peak freshness and texture. Our tins reflect generations of heritage and craft.

Curated by Us
We taste every tin and only select the very best. You won't find a crowded marketplace here - just a tight, rotating collection of standouts we personally love and believe in.

Rooted in Ritual
Behind every tin is a story, a culture, and a moment meant to be savored. Whether you're new to conservas or a lifelong fan, we hope Lata brings a little joy and nostalgia to your table.
